Appearing at the Concert 7 Ruang 'Chrisye untuk Kemanusiaan' with Top Singers of the Country, Armand Maulana Proud!

Kapanlagi.com - The virtual concert titled Concert 7 Ruang 'Chrisye untuk Kemanusiaan' will be held on May 30, 2021, at DSS Music Jakarta studio. The concert features several top musicians in the country, one of them is Armand Maulana.

Armand Maulana feels proud to be involved in the Concert 7 Ruang 'Chrisye untuk Kemanusiaan'. Moreover, the vocalist of the band GIGI admits that he is very close to the family of the Indonesian music legend.

"I am also happy to be present and participate in this concert. Hopefully, this event can continue to be consistently held in the future," said Armand in a virtual press conference on Friday (28/5/2021).

"I am already close to Chrisye's family, so when I was offered 'Man, there's a concert with ILUNI UI, asked for help, I immediately said yes,'" added Armand Maulana.

Armand Maulana's closeness with the late Chrisye was not just about work. But beyond that, there are many sweet memories of Armand Maulana with the music legend.

"To be honest, I was close to the late Chrisye, especially with his family. I remember very well when I bathed the late Chrisye and put him in the grave, we were really close," said Armand Maulana.

Therefore, it is understandable that Armand Maulana immediately agreed when invited to join the 'Chrisye for Humanity' concert. "Who doesn't know Chrisye's songs, even ordinary people know. I'm ready for anything," Armand concluded.

The 'Chrisye for Humanity' concert is supported by the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) together with DSS Music and the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) to raise funds for humanitarian missions in ILUNI UI's Care for Disasters initiative.

2. Presenting Top Singers

Besides Armand Maulana, the 'Chrisye for Humanity' concert also features several top Indonesian singers. They are Andien, Once Mekel, Erwin Gutawa, Kadri Mohamad, Raidy Noor Experience, Noor Bersaudara, Dira Sugandi, Shelomita, Aning Katamsi, and Candra Darusman.

Later, the performers will sing Chrisye's legendary songs such as "Juwita", "Untukku", and "Andai Aku Bisa". This concert will be broadcast live on three YouTube channels, namely ILUNI UI channel, Baznas TV, and DSS Music.

What's interesting is that, in addition to bringing in well-known singers in the country, there will also be special performances by the Minister of Finance of Indonesia, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, and the President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia, Tony Wenas.

"This special collaboration rarely happens and certainly becomes an interesting thing to be enjoyed by music lovers. The hope is to attract more public donation participation for the ILUNI UI Cares humanitarian fund," said Nongki Wisaksono, Chairman of ILUNI UI and also the organizer of the 'Chrisye for Humanity' concert.
