Appointed as a Suspect in Drug Case, Roy Kiyoshi Stressed and Experienced Mental Pressure

Roy Kiyoshi's legal representative, Henry Indraguna, stated that they have no objections to his detention. However, in the near future, they will propose an assessment so that Roy can undergo rehabilitation.

"Regarding the detention itself, it is up to the investigator's consideration. It's fine if there is a legal process and if he needs to be detained, it's not a problem," said Henry when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Saturday (9/5).

1. Mental Pressure

"What we propose in a situation like this is not a postponement, but we will request an assessment. After it is approved, then it will be deferred to RSKO and rehabilitation will be carried out. While waiting for the P21 process, phase 1, phase 2, and trial preparation, Roy will be rehabilitated at RSKO," Henry added.

Henry also explained Roy Kiyoshi's condition, who is experiencing stress due to the current case. Moreover, he has also been a target of online bullying.

"If you say stress, surely everyone who is affected by this problem will be stressed, both his family and himself. Anyone, when detained and becomes a suspect, will definitely experience stress, mental pressure, embarrassment, especially when being bullied," he explained.

2. Buying Medicine Online

Roy Kiyoshi, who claimed to have been consuming doctor-prescribed insomnia medication for the past year, was forced to buy medicine online due to the current COVID-19 situation.

"Roy is sick here, because he is afraid to go to the doctor due to COVID-19, and the same goes for going to the pharmacy, that's why he bought (the medicine) online," said Henry.

"These people don't know what actually happened. Roy never knew that the medicine he was consuming, bought online, actually contained nitrazepam, which falls under the category of psychotropic drugs. If he had known this, he wouldn't have bought it," he concluded.
