Stumbling on Drug Cases, Legal Representatives Confirm Roy Kiyoshi is not a User

Kapanlagi.com - Roy Kiyoshi adds to the long list of public figures involved in drug cases. He was arrested by the police a few days ago at his residence with 21 psychotropic pills as evidence.

To the authorities, Roy Kiyoshi admitted to consuming drugs in the past year under the supervision of a doctor.

"Currently, Roy is in custody. The detention signing process has been completed and we are in the process of conducting an examination. There are things that he needs to add to the examination because he admitted that for the past year, he has always been under doctor's supervision," said Kompol Vivick Tjangkung when met at the South Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Saturday (9/5) early morning.

1. Not a Drug User

Henry Indraguna, Roy Kiyoshi's legal representative, explains that his client's use of drugs is due to health reasons. He also emphasizes that Roy is not a drug user.

"Roy Kiyoshi is sick, not a drug user. So once again, I warn you not to accuse, attack Roy Kiyoshi's honor by saying that he is a user. Remember, Roy is not a user of marijuana, ecstasy, or methamphetamine," he said when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Saturday (9/5) night.

2. Suffering from Insomnia

Roy Kiyoshi is said to have suffered from insomnia in 2017. "What's wrong with him, he has insomnia, he can't sleep. We can prove that Roy has been sick since 2017. Roy is sick and he has been treated by a doctor," explained Henry.

The condition relapsed in 2019 and reappeared in 2020. The cause is the stress experienced by Roy. "In 2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone was advised to stay at home," he said.

"This is where Roy feels pressured and stressed, and there he can't sleep. Because he can't sleep, he looks for sleeping pills online, just click on a sleeping pill and the name diazepam appears. So why did he choose diazepam? Because he googled sleeping pills and diazepam came up," added Henry Indraguna.
