Kapanlagi.com - The latest development comes from the online prostitution case involving celebrity actress Cassandra Angelie. Despite being a suspect, Cassandra was not arrested.
The Jakarta Metropolitan Police made the 25-year-old woman a city detainee. Every week until the trial process is held, Cassandra Angelie is required to attend mandatory reporting agendas.
"Regarding CA in this case, she has been appointed as a suspect. But no detention was carried out. Only mandatory reporting is required and the case will proceed to trial," said the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kombes Pol Endra Zulpan, during a press conference at his office on Tuesday (4/1).

Many question why Cassandra Angelie was not detained despite being named a suspect. Apparently, it is because what the soap opera player IKATAN CINTA did is a personal matter.
"The consideration is that besides being a suspect, CA is also a victim. What CA did with her client is a personal matter. The law cannot intervene there," added Endra Zulpan.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Cassandra Angelie was involved in assisting prostitution activities. Thus, she is charged under Article 55 of the Criminal Code.
"CA is charged under Article 55 because she also played a role in offering herself in an online prostitution case," added Zulpan.

Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Commissioner Pol Endra Zulpan, explained that from the examination of the suspects, the Cyber Crime Sub-Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police has obtained data on other public figures who are included in the list of pimps.
"Based on our cyber patrols and the development of information from these pimps, we have detected that there are several other public figures, mostly domiciled in Jakarta, who are included in this group. Therefore, we will summon them," said Zulpan at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, last Friday (31/12).

However, Zulpan did not provide further details regarding the number or initials of the artists suspected of being involved in the practice of online prostitution. What is clear is that the police will summon these artists for rehabilitation.
"We will summon the public figures included in the pimp list for education. So that those who are mostly young will not engage in online prostitution activities," he said.
"We will determine the date later. We will first focus on resolving this case," Zulpan concluded.

Previously, Cassandra Angelie was arrested by the police for alleged online prostitution at Hotel Ascott, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/12). From the arrest, the police seized several pieces of evidence such as underwear, mobile phones, and ATM cards that recorded their online prostitution transactions.
"Several mobile phones, ATMs, transfer evidence, money recipient evidence, and also several pieces of underwear. Those are the pieces of evidence seized from the perpetrators, so all of their mobile phones are evidence," he concluded.
