Ardhito Pramono Once Busked to Survive and Pay for His Studies in Sydney

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Ardhito Pramono shared the beginning of his music career journey, which started during his college years. The 29-year-old musician admitted that he began by creating music content on YouTube while studying abroad.

"My music career actually started in college, from 2012. In the early days of making music, it was all about YouTube, and during college, I also had the chance to busk on the streets, but in Sydney. It's different, right? Haha," said Ardhito, laughing when met in the Wijaya area, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/1/2024).

In addition to making music, Ardhito Pramono also busked to help cover living expenses while studying. He revealed that his father only financed his studies in the first year, so he had to work hard to meet other needs.

"Absolutely. Because my dad didn’t give me pocket money, he only paid for my tuition, and that was just in the first year. Then I really had to find my own money, from busking and working in fast food. Then I became a barista, so I had three jobs," he said.

Now, Ardhito is known as a musician whose works are loved by many. His success in the music world is inseparable from the hard work he has put in since his college days. "Alhamdulillahirobilalamin," he expressed.

However, the journey to that success was not easy. Ardhito admits to facing various obstacles that have become inspiration for him in creating his works.

"There are many ups and downs, a lot of downs, a lot of ups. With everything that has happened, failures in love, failures in relationships, with friends, breaking up to form a band and all that became inspiration for me to create my next works," Ardhito explained.

Ardhito is known through jazz and pop songs such as Bitterlove, Fine Today, and Superstar. He also created the soundtrack for the film NKCTHI (NANTI KITA CERITA TENTANG HARI INI). Not only that, Ardhito also ventured into acting, such as in the films STORY OF KALE and STORY OF DINDA.
