Armand Maulana Attends Tahlilan and Recitation for Vidi Aldiano, Expresses Amazement

The atmosphere of mourning still envelops the residence of the late Vidi Aldiano in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta. As a form of final respect, friends and relatives held a tahlilan event and a recitation of the Al-Qur'an to pray for the deceased who has returned to the embrace of the Creator, including Armand Maulana.

The solemn event was attended by several fellow musicians who had a very close relationship with the singer of 'Nuansa Bening'. They gathered to provide moral support to the bereaved family while also praying for the deceased to find peace in His presence.

Armand Maulana, one of the senior musicians present, recounted the series of prayer ceremonies conducted by the friends and extended family of the deceased. He stated that the event was simple yet filled with solemnity.

The vocalist of the band Gigi was even amazed because Vidi was such a good person that all the family and friends wanted to gather to pray during the tahlilan.

"So earlier we completed the Qur'an in about how long, around 40 minutes. Just to pray, that's all. And this is small, just a small tahlilan with friends, neighbors, and relatives. That's it," he said when met in the Cilandak area, South Jakarta, on Monday (09/03/2026).

Armand explained that the event was attended by close friends of the deceased. Several renowned singers such as Isyana Sarasvati, Raisa, Afgan, and Yura Yunita were also seen present to pay their respects. Their presence showed how deep the affection and sense of loss felt by fellow musicians towards Vidi.

On the day of Vidi Aldiano's passing, Armand Maulana also visited the mourning house directly with his wife, Dewi Gita. He even participated in the funeral prayers for Vidi before the burial. Previously, Vidi had indeed been struggling for a long time against the kidney cancer he suffered from.

Armand himself feels that Vidi was a very kind person who always brought joy. According to the vocalist of the band GIGI, Vidi was an extraordinary individual. For him, Vidi was not just a colleague but a friend who always managed to liven up the atmosphere on every occasion.

"The most fun memory is when he is around, whenever Vidi is there, it always becomes cheerful, that's it," reminisced Armand.

The loss of such a cheerful figure has deeply affected Armand and Dewi Gita. They hope that the prayers offered can be a light for the deceased in the afterlife.
