Aska Ongi Admits to Receiving Harsh Treatment from Aliff Alli While 7 Months Pregnant

However, it turns out that Aska Ongi has often received harsh treatment from Aliff Alli since they were dating until they got married.

"Actually, he had already slapped me when we were dating, but I forgave him and he promised to be good. But even when I was pregnant, he still used violence," said Aska Ongi when met at KPAI, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/5).

Sunan Kalijaga as the legal representative of Aska Ongi said that Aliff Alli often committed violence against his wife when she was 4 months and 7 months pregnant, causing Aska Ongi to be very traumatized.

"So there was a phase of violence experienced by our client. The most severe was at four months of pregnancy, and then in the seventh month in Jakarta, which has been reported. This means there is something that psychologically traumatizes and frightens our client," said Sunan Kalijaga.

2. Causes of Domestic Violence

The cause of Aliff Alli's outburst towards Aska Ongi at that time was only because of a small issue. "When I was seven months pregnant, it was because I confronted him about something trivial. Maybe it was because he had just had three glasses of alcohol, so he was carried away by emotions," said Aska Ongi.

Feeling unable to tolerate living with Aliff Alli, Aska Ongi wanted to divorce as soon as their child was born. However, Aska Ongi always forgave Aliff Alli. But the violence continued to happen. Until finally, their marriage ended in November 2019.

"After the child was born. Actually, I asked for the divorce when we were in Bali. Then he asked for peace and everything, and I forgave him. But then when I was seven months pregnant, he slapped me again until I had a nosebleed," she concluded.
