Baim Wong & Alim Surprise Down Syndrome Audience of 'EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE'

Baim Wong and Alim surprised the individuals with Down syndrome who were watching the film 'EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE' in Malang. Alim, or Rahmatullah Nan Alim, suddenly appeared and greeted the audience before the film started. He was welcomed with joyful applause.

"Enjoy the movie! Thank you, stay motivated," said Alim, greeted with cheers at Cinema XXI Plaza Araya Malang City, Saturday (16/5).

Alim is a person with Down syndrome who works as a barista at a café in Jakarta. He made his film debut alongside several famous stars, such as Reza Rahadian, Christine Hakim, Happy Salma, Raihanum, Luna Maya, Asri Welas, and others. "This is extraordinary, priceless, I can't find the words," said Alim's mother from her seat in the front row.

The presence of Alim and Vanessa, who are also individuals with syndromes in the film, provides motivation that a person with a syndrome has capabilities when given the opportunity. Their acting received a lot of praise. "Funny, their acting is great, I feel more confident too," said M Dwi Syaputra, one of the audience members.

A surprise occurred again when Baim suddenly appeared at the end of the film. He greeted the audience from various down syndrome communities in Malang. "How are you, hello dear, I hope you like the movie," Baim greeted.

The director of 'EVERYTHING WILL BE OK' was welcomed with cheers and showered with hugs repeatedly. Baim momentarily stopped and greeted several children who were filled with happiness trying to reach him. "I made this film for all of you, so that you love your family even more. No more fighting, siblings," added Baim Wong.

Baim conveyed a message to the children to stay motivated and confident. No matter the circumstances, the best place is family. Meanwhile, one of the audience members in front of Baim also mimicked Alim's dialogue to Vanessa in the acting from the film. The line 'I want to get married' drew laughter and excitement between them.

Baim told reporters that he made the film 'EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE' based on the current conditions of society. But he reminded that in any situation, family is the best place to seek refuge. "This is actually related to current issues, some can't pay for their siblings' college, and some want to sell something. I made all of this so that in the end, it has benefits and goes back to family as well," he stated.

Baim hopes that his film will be watched by more people and provide benefits through the messages conveyed in the dialogues and performances of the cast. He has dedicated approximately 1.5 years of his time to this film.
