Be a Witness in the Assault Trial, Zaskia Mecca Asks Her Children Not to Be Afraid

"Today is the hearing for the witness KM. Since he is still young, Mas Hanung and I were thinking about how to make sure K doesn't feel tense during the session and feels comfortable in the environment," said Zaskia Adya Mecca when met at the Military Court II-08, East Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4/2026).

Zaskia even specifically requested permission from the school so that Kala's siblings could be present to accompany her. For her, the presence of family is very important as moral support in facing legal situations like this.

"That's why today I also asked for permission for her siblings and her brother from school. I want them to be there to accompany her as moral support. I want my family to be used to being present when something requires it, so that everyone is there to accompany," she revealed.

Although her husband, Hanung Bramantyo, could not attend because he is filming out of town, family support remains solid. Hanung has also warned that the other children should also provide support to KM."Mas Hanung is filming today, he has been out of town for two months. So he just warned all our children to participate," she said."Only one of K's siblings couldn't join because of soccer practice, so it's okay, the support system is already sufficient," Zaskia added.

The presence of the children in court is also seen by Zaskia as a valuable lesson about life and law. She wants her children to understand the consequences of every action through direct experience in the field.

"Yes, this makes it something new for me, a lesson for all my children, which is why I involve them all so they know how significant the effect of one thing can be," he said."So there's no need to be afraid of the courtroom, because yesterday I also tried it and the judge was just fine, the staff here are all friendly," he explained.

This trial is a consequence of the assault incident against Zaskia's staff named Faisal, a member of the military Praka NC in September 2025. The tragic event occurred on Ampera Street, South Jakarta, while Faisal was taking K to school.
