Kapanlagi.com - Angga Dwimas Sasongko is ready to release his latest work titled HEARTBREAK MOTEL. This romantic drama is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same title by Ika Natassa.
Angga apparently is a loyal reader of Ika Natassa's works. He admitted that he once wanted to adapt the debut novel of the author but then withdrew after knowing that the setting was in Singapore.
"Actually, the desire to adapt Kak Ika's novel has been there for a long time. There was a title called A Very Yuppy Wedding, because when I read it, there was a setting in Singapore and I didn't have the money, so let's not do it for now. It seems expensive to set it in Singapore," said Angga when met at Epicentrum XXI, Rasuna Said area, South Jakarta, Friday (28/6/2024).

Then years later, Angga Dwimas Sasongko met with Ika Natassa to discuss the adaptation of the novel Critical Eleven. Unfortunately, they were not meant to be at that time.
"Then years later, we talked about the adaptation of Critical Eleven. But it wasn't meant to be," said the father of one.

Angga Dwimas Sasongko and Ika Natassa then found each other through the adaptation of the novel Heartbreak Motel. It turns out they had a shared vision of turning the work into a fun place.
"We found each other in Heartbreak Motel. When I read this novel, I can say it's Kak Ika's most cinematic novel. When reading the novel, I immediately imagined its visualization," concluded Angga.
