Being Part of APS FC, Dede Satria Plans to Make a Film about Indonesian Football

Kapanlagi.com - Amidst his busy schedule in the entertainment industry, actor Dede Satria still takes time to be involved in an organization that cares about Indonesian football.

Dede joined Allstar Prabowo Subianto (APS) FC, under the leadership of Indika Wijaya Kesuma. Dede stated that his reason for joining is because of his concern for the development of Indonesian football that is progressing.

"My presence in APS FC is to mentor young football players. Well, to become a figure who will bring Indonesian football and its structural issues," said Dede Satria when met at the launch event of APS FC Jersey, in the Lubang Buaya area, East Jakarta, Saturday (8/6/2024).

"So I want the statistics of youth football to improve, so that in the future it can bring glory to the nation," he added.

1. The Stars Are Already in Sight

Not only focusing on the development of young players, this 28-year-old actor also plans an ambitious project in the form of a film about Indonesian football titled 'The Legend'. In the film, Dede will act as both producer and player.

"The plan is for this film to be enlivened by Indonesian football legends, current national team players, and naturalized players," said the 28-year-old man.

Dede revealed several names of Indonesian national team players and naturalized players who will be involved in this film, such as Hubner, Nathan Joe, Pratama Arhan, and Sananta. Everything has been planned in the APS FC program.

"The plan is to involve Hubner and Nathan Joe, including Pratama Arhan, Sananta, and others. So we have already designed everything to be included in the APS FC program," he explained.

To direct this film, Dede plans to invite Rudi Soedjarwo, a director who has successfully worked on the football film 'Garuda di Dadaku 2'.

Dede has just finished the feature film 'Facing God' which was also directed by Rudi, so he is very confident in the director's quality.

2. Reasons for Making the Film

The main reason Dede made this film is the achievements that have been accomplished by the Indonesian national team, one of which is reaching the top four in the 2024 Asian Cup. "This film will also discuss history, achievements, the mafia, and soccer gambling, which are currently the focus of the police to eradicate," said Dede Satria.

Meanwhile, Indika Wijaya, as the head of APS FC, stated that The Legend film will also include tragedies that have occurred in Indonesian football. "Tragedies like Kanjuruhan and others will also be included. Currently, we are still waiting for permission from PSSI to realize this film," said Indika Wijaya.
