Serious Progress, Kris Dayanti Checks Nomination Files for Mayor of Batu

Kapanlagi.com - The artist who is also a member of the Indonesian Parliament, Kris Dayanti fulfilled her promise to come directly to the Batu City PDIP DPC (District Party Committee) in relation to the return of her nomination form as the Mayor of Batu.

Kris Dayanti took the opportunity to recheck the documents that had been submitted by her Success Team and volunteers.

"Actually, the task of Team 9 is already finished, but I always keep my promise to attend. I just checked if there were any missing documents," she said.

Kris Dayanti registered herself as a candidate for Mayor of Batu with PDIP on Thursday (23/05). However, due to her busy schedule, she couldn't come directly to hand over the registration documents to the Team 9 of Batu City PDIP DPC.

"Because I promised to return the form in person, but because of the preparations for the National Conference, I only had the opportunity to come today," she emphasized.

1. Tasks in Malang Raya

Kris Dayanti herself admitted to having tasks in the Malang Raya electoral district, in her capacity as a Member of Commission IX. So it is indeed obligatory to visit the cities of Batu, Malang, and Malang Regency as the electoral district in the 2019 legislative elections.

"So whether there are activities in Batu or not, I will definitely visit the DPC (Local Party Branch), because it is mandatory to greet friends. The message from the Chairman also requires us to go down or reach out to the wider community, and voice the truth," she explained.

Kris Dayanti's name did not appear on the list of elected members of the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI) after not receiving enough votes in the 2024 legislative elections to return to the House. However, KD chose to run for the position of Mayor of Batu in the 2024 regional elections.

This step, as emphasized by Raul Lemos' wife, is taken with conviction and optimism. "In life, we must always be optimistic because the DNA of PDI P is that of a warrior. We must continue to fight no matter what," she asserted.

2. Aspirations for the City of Batu

Kris Dayanti admits to receiving support from many parties, including cadres and volunteers in the city of Batu. All considerations are taken into account, and she has decided to contest in the 2024 Regional Election.

"Support from the people, from the people of Batu, whether they are volunteers or the community, it becomes a mission to become a candidate for regional head. There are several elites that I have met, I convey the support of the community to continue the leadership legacy. No one does not want the city to progress, no one does not want the city to succeed and have an impact and be heard nationally," she explained.

Kris Dayanti, who was born in the city of Batu, sees great potential for the city to develop, especially in the tourism sector. Batu has tourism ranging from cultural to natural attractions, and the challenge is to attract tourists. Therefore, infrastructure facilities for tourism development must be supported.

"Since I was a student, from Ngaglik until now as a member and representative of the people, the roads are still the same. It will indeed be my concern and not as easy as turning the palm of the hand." Surely to know the bureaucracy and others, I have to dive deeper, hopefully at least I am a genuine Daughter of the City of Batu who wants Batu City to have a greater impact and achievements nationally," she explained.

Kris Dayanti admitted that she is optimistic about obtaining a recommendation for the candidate for mayor of Batu from the DPP PDI Perjuangan. All components will be a motivation to move forward, including surveys.

"That's why surveys become indicators, they can be a point of enthusiasm to move forward and know our position. If it's a political step, we still respect that the assignment comes from the Chairman and DPP," she concluded.
