Betrand Peto Becomes 'Prayer Alarm' for Ruben Onsu, Shows Affection Towards His Father

The warmth and tolerance within the Onsu family once again captures attention. Betrand Peto Putra Onsu, or affectionately called Onyo, revealed his touching habit of always reminding his father, Ruben Onsu, to perform his prayer.

On one occasion, Onyo shared how he became a personal 'alarm' for Ruben Onsu, especially when they were out and about. Onyo's habit of frequently checking his phone makes him aware of the prayer times that his father needs to observe.

"Oh yeah, yesterday was just perfect because, you know, if I’m out, I tend to look at my phone for everything. That’s how it is when I’m walking with Dad, I’m always looking at my phone. When it’s 6 PM or almost 6:30, it’s time to get ready for prayer," said Betrand Peto when met in the Senayan area recently.

This melodious singer also understands the challenge of finding a place of worship while at a shopping center. According to him, the location of the prayer room, which is sometimes far away, and the potential for long lines can cause prayer times to be missed if not planned well.

"Especially if, for example, in the mall, the prayer area is either on the ground floor, or in the lobby, or maybe in the parking lot. So you have to go down, either by elevator or escalator," he said.

"So it's just waiting, what if it passes the time, it gets crowded too. If it's in the mall, it will definitely be crowded for people to pray," he continued.

Onyo's actions purely come from his concern as a child. He admitted he never set a special alarm; rather, the initiative arises spontaneously every time he sees that the time on his phone shows the prayer time for his father.

"I don't set an alarm. It's just that yesterday I looked at the clock, "Oh, it's time to pray now," that’s why I asked Dad, "Dad, have you prayed yet?" like that, "It's already 6 o'clock." So I told Dad, "Don't forget to pray first," like that," Onyo explained.

More than just a reminder, Onyo's attitude reflects his full support for Ruben Onsu's spiritual journey. For him, his father's happiness is the most important. He is also happy to see Ruben, who many people consider to be shining even more.

"Because for me, it’s really like that, and Dad too, I mean as a child, I will definitely just support. The important thing is that Dad is happy. Besides, people’s comments make him shine even more, his face becomes brighter. As a child, I just support him," she concluded.
