It's hard to believe that Mitha and Dara have been a part of the duo called The Virgin for fifteen years. When they were first brought together, they were strangers introduced by Ahmad Dhani.
Before becoming The Virgin, both Mitha and Dara had previously received their first job from Dhani. How much fee did the boss of Republik Cinta Management give them?
Mitha still remembers clearly the first fee she received when working with Ahmad Dhani. At that time, she received a payment of one million rupiah.
With pride, Mitha reveals that she gives all her earnings to her mother.
"At that time, my first payment was one million. It was the first time I joined Mas Dhani and I was so happy to receive payment. Previously, I worked in my mother's office and received a salary from her," Mitha recalled when met at the KLY Youniverse office, Gondangdia area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (16/1/2024).
"Working with people and being able to earn my own money, then giving it to my mother feels really relieving," she continued.
Meanwhile, Dara received a fee of five hundred thousand for being Triad's backing vocal. Just like Mitha, she immediately gives all the money to her parents.
"I was also given to Mama. At that time, it was my first time backing Triad, then I got five hundred thousand rupiahs. I went home and gave it all to Mama," said Dara on the same occasion.
The amount of honor that year does seem small compared to current wages. However, when Mitha and Dara were still young, the numbers they received were quite large.
"At that time, that amount of money was big," said Mitha. "For me, it was quite big because I was still in high school at that time. I was also sixteen years old at that time," added Dara.
