Both Want to Separate Immediately, Ferry Irawan's Party Considers Venna Melinda Hindering Divorce

Meanwhile, according to Ferry Irawan's legal representative, Venna often speaks to the media, claiming that Ferry was just living off her during their marriage.

"The judge sees that both parties want to separate. But I was very surprised because all this time, Mr. Ferry was said to be just living off her. But in the middle of the road, Ms. Venna filed a counterclaim regarding iddah, mut'ah, and madhiyah," said Khairul Imam in Jakarta, Saturday (5/8/2023).

Venna's lawsuit value is also very fantastic and makes Ferry Irawan shake his head. No kidding, Venna Melinda asked for Rp 1 billion.

"Mut'ah of 1 billion, iddah maintenance of 165 million for 3 months, and madhiyah maintenance of 613,127,250," said Khairul Imam.

"This raises the question of what she wants. If they build an opinion that Mr. Ferry is a freeloader, a lazy man, why file a lawsuit for 1 billion, what for?
It's strange, Mr. Ferry has built an opinion that he has no money, is poor, and keeps asking for money from the poor person, that's what doesn't make sense," said Sunan Kalijaga, another lawyer of Ferry Irawan.

2. Not Fully Granted

Fortunately, the judge did not fully grant Venna Melinda's lawsuit. Out of the two fantastic lawsuits, the panel of judges only granted around Rp 60 million.

"Alhamdulillah, the panel of judges considered the deliberation and trial facts and granted only 30 million out of the 1 billion, and the iddah maintenance of 165 million was only granted 30 million. The judge did not grant the madhiyah maintenance," he said.

However, this is still considered burdensome for Ferry Irawan, who only agreed to give mut'ah and iddah money amounting to Rp 200,000.

"During the trial, my client can only provide 200,000 and the consequence if the obligations (to pay mut'ah and iddah maintenance as ordered by the judge) are not paid, then the divorce is canceled, meaning there is no divorce. they are together again," said Khairul Imam.

3. Divorce Case Has Been Decided

Just for information, the divorce case of Ferry Irawan and Venna Melinda has been decided by the South Jakarta Religious Court on August 3, 2023.

In the verdict, the judge granted Ferry Irawan's divorce petition. However, before pronouncing the talak oath and officially declaring the divorce, Ferry Irawan is required to pay mut'ah alimony amounting to IDR 30 million and iddah alimony amounting to IDR 30 million.

The obligation to pay iddah and mut'ah alimony with that value has made Ferry Irawan's party has not decided whether to accept the verdict or file an appeal.

"The South Jakarta Religious Court gives a 14-day period after the decision to decide whether to appeal or not? And we are still considering. Because it is related to iddah and mut'ah alimony. Because this alimony must be paid first before the talak oath can occur," said Khairul Imam.
