Boy William's Favorite Place When Vacationing in South Korea, Always Looking for Fun Bars

Kapanlagi.com - Boy William said that South Korea is one of his favorite countries to vacation. He believes that South Korea has a different atmosphere compared to other countries.

One of the things that makes him want to stay longer in the land of ginseng is the food that suits the Indonesian palate.

"I don't know why Korea is always in my top three travel list," said Boy William during the Virtual Media Gathering #AkudanKorea 2021, on Tuesday (31/8).

"Because when I land there, it feels like being in a very different place but all around it, the food is very familiar to the Indonesian palate. Whether it's a small or big restaurant, it's all delicious," he continued.

1. Favorite Country of the Family

Not only is it his favorite country, but South Korea is also the favorite country of his family. Because his younger brother lives in South Korea, they often go back and forth. Boy William last went to South Korea just before Covid-19 entered Indonesia.

"I went to Korea right before Covid entered Indonesia. Actually, I had a two-day layover because I was going to the US. I stopped over in Korea first and then I traveled around. Because I really like Korea," he said.

"It just so happens that my brother lives there. So, we often go back and forth. The reason why I can speak Korean is because of that. Our family really likes Korea, it's one of our favorite countries," continued Boy William.

2. Favorite Place is Bars

Every time he visits South Korea, the first place Boy William looks for is a bar. He really enjoys exploring the city of Seoul and finding fun bars. One of them is in the Hongdae area, which is a trendy place for teenagers in Seoul. Not only can you enjoy culinary tourism and shopping, but there are also music performances.

"In Korea, because I like going to bars. So, in the middle of the city, me and my friends or family look for fun bars. In Hongdae, it's one of the hype places and there are a lot of people there. If we say they're street performers, they're not really street performers, but they're boy bands and girl bands who haven't debuted yet, they dance in the middle of the crowd and people watch their videos. So, they practice there," he explained.

"When I go to Hongdae, I just walk around and explore many cool spots, including the bars. Even though it's difficult to communicate, many people understand English so it's easy for us," concluded Boy William.
