Bringing 4 Tons of Goods, Ashanty Provides Assistance to Residents Affected by Gembrong Market Fire

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Ashanty visited residents affected by the Gembrong Market fire in Cipinang Besar, East Jakarta, on Thursday (28/4/2022). She was accompanied by her son, Azriel.

"Initially, Arsy wanted to come too. But it didn't happen. If Anang happens to have other work, we divide the tasks," said Ashanty.

1. Contents of Aid

Upon arrival at the location, Ashanty and Azriel were greeted enthusiastically by the residents. They were seen walking around and occasionally joking with some children.

"Alhamdulillah, we can come here to see it firsthand. We have prepared four tons of goods brought by two trucks. (The contents) include basic necessities, medicine, snacks, Muslim clothes for Eid that can be worn, and also some snacks," she said.

2. Wishing to Lighten the Burden

Ashanty hopes that her visit can at least entertain and lighten the burden of the residents affected by the Pasa Gembrong fire, although she is aware that she cannot completely eliminate their wounds and sorrows.

"Because we also feel it when we want to celebrate Eid, then suddenly there is a disaster like this. Everything is lost. It must feel very sad,"

"Hopefully with the available assistance, although it may not completely eliminate the wounds and sorrows, but hopefully it can lighten the burden of the residents here," said Ashanty.

3. Day Three in Evacuation

On that occasion, Ashanty also had a conversation with Yongki, the Chairman of RW 1. She wanted to know the beginning of how the fire could happen.

"So this is already the third day they are in evacuation. The beginning of the incident was caused by a short circuit. There are 381 households affected by the fire. But how many houses were engulfed by the fire, cannot be identified yet. Because the houses are small," said Yongki.

Yongki also expressed his gratitude to Ashanty for taking the time to come and visit and provide assistance.

"Alhamdulillah when it was announced that Ashanty was coming, the people here were very entertained and enthusiastic. because they are psychologically and mentally a bit down and with the presence of Ashanty here they are a bit entertained and I hope they can forget their wounds for a while," said Yongki.
