Iis Dahlia expressed her views regarding the tattoos owned by her son, Devano Danendra. Iis revealed that she did not know about those tattoos before Devano displayed them openly.
When met in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Iis said that she also knew her son was not the only one with tattoos. "Of course, he’s still my child," said the woman born on May 29, 1972, on Tuesday (30/7/2024),
Iis Dahlia emphasized that she was only informed about the tattoos after Devano got them, not before.
"If permission is given, it surely won't be allowed. It's just a notification everywhere, after all," said Iis explaining.
Iis Dahlia was then asked about her reaction when she first learned that her child had gotten a tattoo. Iis admitted that although she felt somewhat annoyed, she was not angry.
"It's just that, what are you doing, your tattoo is really ugly," Iis expressed. According to her, if Devano wants to get a tattoo, it should be big and cool, not just small which she finds unappealing.
Iis also realizes that there are currently many trends for small tattoos that are popular. "But it turns out that small tattoos are in season right now, tattoos also have trends," said Iis.
This shows that he is aware of changing trends and does not completely reject his child's decisions. Additionally, some time ago, Devano Danendra went viral for expressing that his tattoos are a form of emotional release.
Considering that the child's tattoos have unusual designs, the mother cautioned him not to regret it later. "Just say you want a tattoo, if I let it happen, I'll regret it myself,” she continued.
