Car Wash Business Forced to Close During the Pandemic, Kriss Hatta Goes Bankrupt?

1. Stumbling Case

Kriss Hatta said that during his direct management, his car wash business was crowded with visitors. Unfortunately, the following year, in 2019, the host of Uang Kaget was imprisoned for a case of forging marriage documents and assault. Automatically, while in custody, Kriss Hatta could no longer manage his car wash business.

"In 2018, it was already thriving for a few months. Because in 2019, I spent a full year there (in prison). I thought 2020 would be the last time I managed the business. This is the determining time, the business prediction can run for the next 3 years," he said.

2. Think About Employees

After being released from prison, Kriss Hatta plans to manage his business again. Unfortunately, when he wanted to develop his car wash business, the pandemic of COVID-19 occurred.

"I didn't know that there would be a pandemic in 2020. I opened the business and received a letter from the Depok government. I opened it not intending to make a profit, but the employees needed food and phone credit, so I sent money to the village. But I wasn't allowed to open, and when I opened, I was immediately told to close. When it closed, all employees were unemployed. I had to provide food, pay for electricity, and water. If the business doesn't run, I have to use my earnings from shooting," said Kriss Hatta.

3. Deny Bankruptcy

Many people assume that the closure of car wash businesses is due to Kriss Hatta's bankruptcy. Regarding this matter, Kriss Hatta immediately denied the news.

"No, I'm not bankrupt. I'm fine. I just survive, save money, don't want anything strange, just enough money that I have," Kriss Hatta concluded.
