Karen Pooroe's legal counsel, Wemmy Amanupunyo, admitted to having received information regarding the decision to stop the investigation (SP3) from the police. He responded to the report calmly.

1. Decision of the Police Resort

"Yes, that is legitimate because it is a decision from the police resort. If this report is considered to lack sufficient evidence, it is a policy of the police," he said when contacted on Tuesday (24/3/2020).

He further explained that there may be differences during confrontation and examination. However, he denied being accused of making a false report.

2. Different When Examined

"Because we felt that what was presented during the confrontation between Karen and the witnesses who were considered to strengthen the report turned out to be different when examined. So, it's back to each person's conscience," he added.

"It's impossible, because reporting a criminal incident if it's a lie or not true will eventually be a false report, so it's impossible for us to report something if it's not true," he concluded.
