Catherine Wilson and Idham Masse Agree to Separate Amicably

Kapanlagi.com - The marriage of Catherine Wilson and Idham Masse has officially ended without prolonged disputes. After previously filing a cassation against the divorce ruling, Idham ultimately decided to withdraw his application and agreed to part ways peacefully with Catherine Wilson.

"As of today, the cassation is withdrawn. The reason is that there's no point in dragging it out, we have separated amicably, so we return to being friends like siblings. There's no use in always having disputes," said Idham when met at the Depok Religious Court on Tuesday (3/12/2024).

This decision marks the end of the long debate that had occurred between the two, including issues of alimony and a luxury car that had drawn attention. Idham admitted to agreeing with the judge's ruling regarding the alimony obligations that must be provided to his ex-wife.

"Yes, we have agreed. We have arranged this together, so there's no need to bring it up again. The point is we have respected each other, honored each other until we made the decision to reconcile," she said.

Catherine Wilson herself feels relieved with the end of this issue. She hopes that the good relationship with Idham will remain intact even though they are no longer together as husband and wife.

"Yes, thank God this is what Catherine wants, perhaps also from my ex-husband, Idham. We want to be good, to reconcile, to maintain good relations. If we are not meant to be, then we are like siblings," Catherine expressed.

2. No Use

According to Catherine, there is no use in continuing the dispute. Idham also expressed a similar sentiment, reminding the importance of living peacefully.

"Yes, maybe now we are just realizing that there is no use in this, always fighting and misunderstanding. This world is only temporary, the afterlife is forever, so it's better if we are good to each other," said Idham.

This divorce case was actually decided on May 29, 2024. In that ruling, Catherine received a financial settlement of Rp 700 million, consisting of Rp 400 million for mut'ah and Rp 300 million for iddah.
