Caught in the Same Case for the Third Time, Roby Geisha's Younger Brother Shocked by Another Arrest Related to Marijuana

Kapanlagi.com - The guitarist of the band Geisha, Roby Satria is once again in trouble with the law. Roby and his assistant, AJR, were arrested by the South Jakarta Drug Investigation Unit at a music studio in the Pancoran area of South Jakarta on Saturday (19/3/2022).

This is not the first time Roby Geisha has been arrested by the police for marijuana-related offenses. If counted, he has been arrested three times for the same offense. The first time Roby was arrested was on October 8, 2013. For this case, Roby was sentenced to one year in prison.

"Indeed, we must also convey that there are many factors that make our client repeat being a user. Specifically, personally, earlier, we apologize profusely to the entire Indonesian community for the news and behavior that ultimately led to this recurrence," said Rustandi, Roby's lawyer at the South Jakarta Police Station on Wednesday (23/3/2022).

"There are indeed factors that make our client repeat the act of misusing marijuana. One of them is the issue of employment, there is none, because of Covid-19. So, maybe due to stress, they end up repeating it," added Rustandi.

The arrest of Roby certainly shocked his friends, Geisha personnel, and also Roby's family. Considering that Roby himself has been involved in drug cases three times. So, what is the family's response to seeing Roby Geisha being arrested by the police?

"Coincidentally, the ones who came were us, the legal team, and his younger sibling. But because the sibling is still, please understand, they are still in shock in this situation so they cannot come here for now," said Rustandi.

"If it's for his parents, of course, they are sad. What parent wouldn't be? But I am sure Roby's parents will also be strong and will certainly pray for the best for their own son," added Rustandi.

Then, after being named a suspect, Roby requested rehabilitation for his client. Rustandi said that the rehab request was based on Roby's own desire to recover from marijuana addiction.

"A clear assessment request is that Roby wants to recover and be healthy. But because of this, maybe because of something we can't think of or know what his point is in repeating his actions," said Rustandi.

4. Evidence

On his third arrest, the police seized 8 grams of marijuana and one used marijuana cigarette as evidence.

"The investigators found the first evidence of marijuana in a package, which weighed 8 grams, and there was also used marijuana that had been rolled and smoked," said Kombes Pol Budhi Herdi Susianto.
