In commemoration of DKI Jakarta's 496th anniversary on June 22, Galeri Indonesia Kaya (GIK) presents a collaboration of Lenong Betawi performance with Sinar Norray and Wandha Dwiutari, a news presenter and social media influencer who became famous in 2012 as None Jakarta Utara. Sinar Norray is a Lenong group founded by the late Mpok Nori, a Betawi artist who has become a legend in Betawi comedy. Mpok Nori started his career in Betawi Lenong performances alongside fellow Betawi artist, Bokir. He also appeared in various comedy shows, both on stage and on television. Sinar Norray educates Betawi artists, from dancers, Lenong players, to musicians, and often performs at various events.
The 'Jakartaku Semangatku' Lenong Betawi performance will be held on June 24, 2023 at 15.00 WIB at Galeri Indonesia Kaya, West Mall Grand Indonesia, Central Jakarta. The Lenong Betawi performance, featuring traditional Betawi songs, successfully captivated art enthusiasts and brought laughter through the performances of Sinar Norray and Wandha Dwiutari, which lasted approximately 1 hour without realizing it with a full laughter-filled show. The performance opened with a series of Jakarta regional songs, including Jali Jali, Ondel-ondel, Pulang Kondangan, and Gang Kelinci, as well as dances that amazed the audience.
Art enthusiasts were presented with a story about a studio that was confused due to the lack of performance projects. In the midst of despair, a tourist played by Wandha Dwiutari came and invited the artists inside the studio to perform abroad.

Renitasari hopes that by holding this Betawi lenong performance, it can become one of the cultural assets of Jakarta residents that can be preserved and carried on by the younger generation and can follow the consistency and love of Sinar Norray in preserving Betawi culture.
“The collaboration between Sinar Norray and Wandha Dwiutari in this Betawi lenong performance with an interesting storyline and the touch of gambang kromong music is one of our efforts to preserve the culture that exists in Jakarta. In addition to entertaining, this activity also conveys messages and values of Betawi culture to art enthusiasts. We hope that the Betawi lenong performance, which is one of the cultural assets of Jakarta residents, can continue to be preserved. Hopefully, this performance can also motivate the younger generation to follow the consistency and love of Sinar Norray in preserving Betawi art and culture,” said Renitasari Adrian, Program Director of Galeri Indonesia Kaya.
The presence of None Jakarta Utara 2012, Wandah Dwiutari, who is part of this performance. Wandha Dwiutari hopes that this collaboration performance can inspire young people. “Preserving Betawi culture can be done in various ways, one of which is by presenting lenong performances like this. Collaborating with Sinar Norray this afternoon is a very enjoyable opportunity, because I can explore Betawi culture again with the legendary lenong group of the Capital City that consistently preserves Betawi culture. Hopefully, our collaboration can entertain, inspire, and broaden the knowledge of art enthusiasts about Betawi culture,” said Wandha Dwiutari, who is also None Jakarta Utara 2012. This performance is our 4th appearance at Galeri Indonesia Kaya, after previously being here in 2014, 2015, and 2017. The name Jodhokemil is adapted from local wisdom related to the calculation of days in Javanese society. Inspired by the same spirit, Jodhokemil's works are greatly influenced by their daily experiences in their social environment.
