"To be honest, I find it a bit difficult to read comments on social media. The text is quite small, I have to wear glasses to read it. I don't see whether the comments are negative or positive, what I see is the result," said Chicco Jerikho in a virtual press conference recently.
For him, what’s more important is how this soap opera is received by the public at large.
"I only look at the ratings and shares. If it holds a good position in the hearts of the audience, then I am grateful," he said.
Although he rarely reads netizen comments, Chicco realizes that this soap opera has touched the hearts of many people. In fact, even his neighbors have started calling him by the name of the character he plays.
"My neighbor has watched and noticed me, mentioning my character's name. Oh, that means I've made it into their hearts, so it's just a motivation," said Chicco.
Not only that, his family also watched this soap opera and got immersed in the story.
"My parents watched too, sometimes they say, 'it's not defending his wife but defending someone else.' That means they have been drawn into the story," he said while laughing.
Chicco also revealed that his wife follows this soap opera. In fact, he was surprised by one of the conflicts in the story. "She watches and she’s happy. She was shocked, dar der dor because of sperm insemination. Episodes 1-16 had intense conflicts," he said.
