Chronology of Koes Hendratmo's Death, Died in a Locked Room from the Inside

Kapanlagi.com - Senior singer Koes Hendratmo passed away at the age of 78, on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Based on information gathered at the funeral home, Koes Hendratmo took his last breath at his residence in Joglo, West Jakarta, due to heart disease.

Before being pronounced dead, Koes Hendratmo was taken to the nearest hospital. "Around 9 in the morning, his staff called me. The deceased was alone in the room and the door was locked. Because of fear, we waited for his nephew," said Suheri, the local RT chairman.

After his nephew arrived, around 10:30 AM, Koes Hendratmo was taken to the hospital to confirm his condition. "He was taken to Asih Hospital to confirm. The doctor said that he was no longer there since he was at home," he said.

The late Koes Hendratmo is planned to be buried at TPU Karet Bivak around 16.30 WIB. "Based on the family's statement, he will be buried this afternoon," said Suheri.

Throughout his career, Koes Hendratmo has produced several studio albums, including Lambaian Bunga (1959), Sansaro (1968), Wanita Wanita (1970), Pop Batak Legendaris (2000), and My Love for You (2011).

In addition to his music career, Koes is also known as a presenter. He has hosted several shows, both on television and off-air.

One of the television shows that skyrocketed his name is the quiz show Berpacu Dalam Melodi, where participants guess the title of the song sung in the show. Koes leaves behind three children, two of whom have followed Koes' career in the music industry, they are Anda Perdana and Bonita.
