Chronology of Zefania Carina Putri Karen Idol's Death, Suffering Internal Injuries After Falling from the 6th Floor Apartment Balcony

Kapanlagi.com - The family of Karen Pooroe, also known as Karen Idol, revealed that Zefania Carina, or affectionately known as Zefi, died after falling from an apartment balcony. The 6-year-old child is believed to have jumped onto the fence from the 6th floor of the Bel One apartment in Jakarta on Friday night.

"The chronology of the incident is still uncertain. I haven't heard it yet, but this is the description. That the child of Ms. Karen fell from the 6th floor apartment. It happened around 10:00 PM. Then we, as the family, only found out around 11:00 AM today (Saturday, red)," said Wemmy Amanuponyo, a lawyer and also Karen Pooroe's uncle, when met at the Fatmawati Hospital Funeral Home, South Jakarta, on Saturday (8/2).

1. Karen Just Found Out 12 Hours Later

During the incident, Karen had not been able to meet her daughter for months. In the midst of their divorce process, Arya, Karen's husband, prevented the meeting between the mother and child.

Karen only found out that her daughter had passed away 12 hours later. The police informed this former Indonesian Idol finalist that Zefi had been called by God.

"I had no idea at all. So the only ones who knew about the incident were the father's side. The mother had no idea at all. I found out at 11.00 AM. Around 12 hours later. That also became a question mark," said Wemmy.

2. Police's Version of Events

According to the police, Zefi passed away after falling from the apartment balcony. The little child was suspected to have climbed onto a chair, allowing them to jump from the relatively high fence.

"According to the information I received, the child apparently climbed onto a chair. Then they played in the rain. Suddenly, they fell. The father himself didn't know when the child fell. There was a chair there, on the balcony of the apartment. So logically, the child climbed onto the chair.

After falling, Zefi immediately passed away at the scene. There were no visible external injuries, and their position looked as if they were peacefully sleeping when laid out.

"According to the doctor's statement, there were internal injuries. However, the family refused to have an autopsy. Maybe they will only conduct an external examination later. But for an autopsy, no, it was rejected. And that was agreed upon by Karen and her husband," explained Wemmy.
