Ciccio Manassero Prioritizes Attitude and Professionalism, the Secret to Surviving 25 Years

"Every project has different challenges. Whether it's considered an easy role or a difficult role, for me, there is no such thing; every project has its own challenges," said Ciccio Manassero when met in the Senayan area on Friday (17/7/2026).

In addition to viewing each project as a new learning space, he shares the principles he holds in maintaining his career: being grateful, professional, and understanding his audience, which now comes from various generations.

1. Maintaining Existence for 25 Years

Ciccio admitted that he does not have a definite answer as to why he is still trusted by the public to this day. He emphasized the support of the audience and the people around him as the foundation for the sustainability of his career.

"If I were asked why I have lasted in the industry for 25 years, maybe like now, I don't really know why I am still given opportunities by friends, by people who watch my films, and so on, who can still appreciate. I'm very thankful for that, for them. Because without them, I wouldn't exist, there would be no Ciccio the actor," said Ciccio.

According to him, gratitude towards the audience and those closest to him is something he always holds dear at every stage of his career journey.

2. Attitude and Professionalism Are Prioritized

Behind the creative process and acting ability, Ciccio believes that attitude remains the main determining factor. He mentioned that professionalism and maintaining healthy working relationships are more decisive than just the technical aspects of a role.

"The most important thing for me is to always be a good person, to always be an enjoyable co-star, making the crew and other actors comfortable working with me, and also always trying to be as professional as possible. That's the most important thing. Attitude, in my opinion," said Ciccio.

He pays attention to the work atmosphere: being a pleasant co-star, making the crew and other actors feel comfortable, and consistently maintaining a professional ethos on set.

He holds this attitude as a principle in every project, in line with his view that each job comes with different challenges.

3. Viewers Come from Various Generations

After decades of working, Ciccio sees his audience becoming increasingly diverse. The way people know him varies, depending on their generation and background.

"Yes and no, it depends on what generation they are from. If they are from my generation or older, they might know me as a child singer," he said.

"But for kids who are 20 years old now, they might know me from the soap opera GGS or something. And if the kids are even younger, they might know me from my recent projects," Ciccio continued.

"It’s always evolving, the audience is always changing, it’s not the same all the time. They won’t know me as a child singer or anything like that," Ciccio concluded.
