"Honestly, in my daily life, I do not feel discriminated against, perhaps not because there is no discrimination happening, but more because I ignore it," Cinta revealed when met in the Gambir area, Central Jakarta, some time ago.
She believes that a confident attitude can be a main fortress in facing unfair treatment from the surrounding environment, especially in the professional world.
"I always enter a room with confidence, and with the feeling that I deserve to be in that place," she said.
According to Cinta, many Indonesians are still trapped in an excessive culture of humility, which fosters unnecessary feelings of inferiority. "Feeling inferior is our weakness as Indonesians because we are very polite," she said.
However, she emphasizes that politeness should not hinder someone from being confident and showcasing their capabilities, especially women.
"We must recognize our self-worth and know that our value is not dictated by others," she added.
For Cinta, ignoring discrimination does not mean allowing injustice to occur, but rather choosing to focus on self-proving and spreading positive inspiration.
"If we stand tall with high self-confidence, people will be less likely to underestimate us," she asserted.
