Kapanlagi.com - The sad news comes from the Indonesian rock music scene. Ricardo Bisuk Juara Siahaan, better known as Ricky Siahaan, guitarist and founder of the band Seringai, has passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 21:30 local time in Tokyo, Japan.
Ricky died shortly after performing with Seringai as part of the Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025. His last performance on the Gekiko Fest stage in Tokyo became an unexpected farewell moment.
"According to an official statement from the local medical team, the deceased suffered a heart attack shortly after performing with Seringai at the Gekiko Fest — part of the Wolves of East Asia Tour 2025 in Taiwan and Japan," wrote Seringai's official press release on Wednesday (April 23, 2025).
The musician, known for his powerful guitar riffs, passed away at the age of 48. Ricky's departure leaves a deep sorrow not only for his family and bandmates but also for fans who grew up with his music.
As a final tribute, the family along with the band Seringai has arranged for the repatriation of the body. This repatriation process is also supported by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo.
"As a final tribute to an important figure in the history and journey of this band, we, together with the family, with the full support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Tokyo, have arranged for the repatriation of the deceased's body to Indonesia, which will arrive on Thursday evening (April 24, 2025)," it stated.
A series of tribute events have been scheduled, including a memorial service and burial. All fans, friends, and colleagues are given the opportunity to pay their last respects.

To honor the mourning period and maintain the family's tranquility, the band Seringai has appointed an official spokesperson. This decision was made to ensure that all communication continues smoothly and does not burden the family.
"During this mourning period, and to respect the family's privacy, the members of the band Seringai have appointed Wendi Putranto, as the band's manager, as the official spokesperson. We request the understanding of all parties that any form of communication and inquiries should be directed through him," it was written again.
Our heartfelt thanks are also extended to those who have helped from the beginning of the incident until the process of repatriating the remains to Indonesia. Support from various circles has been felt as very meaningful during this period of mourning.
