Putri Ariani, a talented young singer from Indonesia and a finalist from America's Got Talent 2023, has the intention to build a mosque in Yokohama, Japan. This mosque is the first project of the Cinta Quran Foundation in Japan, and it is hoped that this mosque can become one of the centers of worship for Muslims in Japan. Here is why Putri Ariani wants to build a mosque in Japan.
Recently, Putri Ariani appeared as a guest on a TV show hosted by Irfan Hakim and Raffi Ahmad. She expressed her desire to build a mosque in Yokohama, Japan.
Her participation as a donor in the construction of the mosque turned out to be a special moment for Putri. On the occasion of her birthday, she gifted herself the construction of a mosque.
"Yes, so Putri contributed to building the first mosque in Indonesia in Yokohama, to gift herself. A birthday gift," Putri Ariani stated when asked about her involvement in building the mosque in Japan (21/04/2025).
When asked why she wanted to build a mosque, Putri Ariani felt that it had great benefits, even being a form of savings for her good deeds.
"Because when we help build a mosque, we are helping to build a place of worship, and the rewards for people praying there are immense, it’s a continuous charity, that’s what Putri is looking for," said Putri Ariani.
In her latest post, she also looked beautiful wearing modern batik to commemorate Kartini Day. As a young Kartini, she wants to continue creating and daring to dream big for a better future.
"Happy Kartini Day. Let's create our own opportunities, just like Mother Kartini who tirelessly fought for her big dreams, whose dedication is still felt to this day. We are equal. Dare to create," she expressed on April 21, 2025.
