Herawati finally speaks out to respond to various slanderous accusations directed at her by Erin Wartia. One point she clarifies is regarding her habit of smoking while in the employer's home environment.

She admits to smoking boldly because she saw other coworkers doing the same without receiving reprimands. Herawati feels her actions are still within reasonable limits as they are done in the kitchen area designated for household assistants.

"Yes, it's true, I was smoking at Mrs. Erin's house, and when I arrived, there was already a maid named Mbak Tumi and Mbak Ida. And Mbak Ida was smoking there, so I thought, 'Oh, it's okay to smoke here,'" said Herawati when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, Thursday (4/6/2026).

Besides the smoking issue, Herawati also addressed serious accusations regarding the ownership of clothing that Erin's party had raised. She was accused of taking a skirt belonging to her employer's daughter for personal use for social media content.

"Yesterday she said it was a dress, now it's a skirt. Maybe tomorrow it will be what's underneath, right, Mbak? So, does that mean the skirt really belongs to Lolly? Well, just prove it, don't slander," she said.

This accusation began when Erin Taulany showed several photos as evidence of her employee's behavior that was deemed to violate household rules. This sparked a heated debate about work ethics and privacy rights between employers and subordinates.

Herawati emphasized that the clothes she was wearing were her own belongings that she had brought from home. She challenged the employer to prove any form of theft or unauthorized use of items.

This woman feels slandered because various minor accusations continue to be gathered to undermine her position in the eyes of the law. She feels sad that her service over 28 days ended with a dispute over trivial personal belongings.

The ART distributor also defended Herawati by stating that there was no forced pickup when their employee left the house. They claimed to have followed the correct procedures when picking up Herawati due to reports of violence.
