Comedian Nurul Qomar Fights Against Colon Cancer, Has to Eat with the Help of a Tube & Can't Eat Normally

Kapanlagi.com - Famous comedian Nurul Qomar is currently undergoing treatment at RSUD Tangerang due to a recurrence of colon cancer. This news has shocked many, including Qomar's close friend, Jarwo Kwat.

Jarwo recounted how Qomar's health condition has been after visiting him some time ago. He stated that currently, the member of the Four Friends group is still very weak and has not been able to eat normally.

"He is conscious, but due to the effects of the medication, he speaks a bit unclearly, he is weak and all that," said Jarwo when met in the Pondok Kelapa area, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (7/1/2025).

1. Current Condition is Not Good

Qomar's weak physical condition has made it impossible for him to eat through his mouth for some time. Jarwo added that Qomar had to use a tube to meet his nutritional needs.

"For nine days, he couldn’t eat directly from his mouth, he used a tube," he said.

Seeing his friend in such a condition, Jarwo felt sad. However, amidst the difficulties, he is confident that Qomar has an extraordinary spirit to recover. This shows the positive attitude that Qomar maintains despite facing a serious illness.

2. Colon Cancer Has Spread to the Liver

"Yes, we are also sad. But his fighting spirit to recover is extraordinary. He doesn’t seem too down about his illness; he remains happy," said Jarwo.

According to the family's account, the colon cancer that Qomar suffers from has spread to the liver. This adds a significant challenge for Qomar, who had previously undergone surgery to remove his colon cancer. The recurrence of this cancer is believed to be influenced by the busyness experienced by Qomar, especially during the regional elections and general elections.

"Yes, his colon cancer has spread again to the liver. He had surgery before, but maybe because of the busyness of the regional elections or the general elections, it turned out like this," Jarwo said.

3. Has Been Suffering from Cancer for a Long Time

In 2021, Qomar revealed through his personal Instagram account that he was diagnosed with stage 4C colon cancer. This surprised many people because at that time, Qomar admitted that his illness was detected after he underwent a routine health check-up.

The disease was discovered after Qomar consulted a specialist doctor, who then confirmed that he was suffering from stage 4C colon cancer. To cope with this illness, Qomar underwent a series of treatments, including regular chemotherapy.
