Conditional Release Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, Roro Fitria Must Stay at Home and Report

Kapanlagi.com - Tens of thousands of corrupt and drug-related prisoners are conditionally released in relation to the new policy issued by the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to suppress the spread of the corona virus or covid-19 in correctional facilities. One of the public figures who can breathe the air of freedom is Roro Fitria.

According to the plan, Roro will be released today, Thursday (2/4/2020), after her documents are completed. The 30-year-old woman is released because she has fulfilled the requirements, namely having a criminal sentence of five to ten years and having served two-thirds of her detention period.

"We are currently striving for her release today because (Roro) has met the requirements for assimilation at home," said Ema Puspita, Acting Head of Pondok Bambu Detention Center, when contacted by phone

Furthermore, Ema Puspita explained that Roro Fitria was supposed to be on parole in May. Plus three months of subsider period, so she would be completely free in August this year.

However, with the revision of regulations from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Roro was allowed to stay at home in early April. She has to report every month until August.

"(Roro) has to report until August. During this corona period, the report is done through video call with Bapas (Correctional Facility). Because she is not allowed to leave the house. She will be monitored by Bapas," said Ema.
