Cut Memey Reveals the Cause of Her Mother's Death

Kapanlagi.com - Cut Memey's mother, Neng Fatimah, passed away on Tuesday (5/4) morning. Before taking her last breath, Neneng Fatimah underwent intensive treatment in the ICU of Bekasi Regional Hospital. Cut Memey revealed that her mother had lung cancer.

"About three or four months ago, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. It was first detected as pneumonia. The fluid was taken, but the doctor suspected why the fluid was red. Usually, pneumonia fluid is yellow, but there were cancer cells when it was brought to the lab," said Cut Memey at TPU Malaka, East Jakarta, on Tuesday (5/4).

1. Direct Flight to Indonesia

Cut Memey, who currently lives in Canada with her children and husband, immediately returned to Indonesia when she found out that her mother was admitted to the hospital.

"After that, I went back and forth to the hospital. I was going to go home for two days, but I dropped when I got home. My mother asked me to take care of her children because there were signs. When I got the news, I immediately left for Canada the next day," said Cut Memey.

2. Unable to Meet Her Mother

Upon arriving in Indonesia, Cut Memey was unable to meet her mother directly. At that time, her mother was already in the ICU of the hospital.

"Then, when I got off the plane, I went straight to the hospital and couldn't meet her. I went to the hospital almost every day to try to meet her, but due to COVID protocols, I couldn't meet her," she said.

3. Had Booked Ovarian Surgery

As a child, Cut Memey tried her best to provide the best care for her mother so that she could recover. Unfortunately, Cut Memey, who was hoping that her mother could be transferred from the ICU so that she could meet her, was disappointed as her mother passed away first.

"My hope was that on Tuesday or Wednesday, I could meet my mother after she was moved to a regular room. We had booked an appointment with a specialist because my mother had an ovarian cyst," said Cut Memey.

"We had booked an ovarian surgery, but it was too late. When I was at the hospital, the nurse told me that she was still proud of her children and happy to have children who took care of her and were successful in taking care of their own children," Cut Memey concluded.
