Undergo Examination on Slander Case, Mawar AFI: I Have No Intention to Defame

Kapanlagi.com - Mawar AFI finally underwent an examination regarding the alleged defamation case at the Depok Metro Police Station on Tuesday (5/4). As is known, Mawar AFI was reported by the legal counsel of her ex-husband Steno Ricardo, Marganda H Hutagalung. The report was made because of Mawar AFI's social media post that mentioned Steno Ricardo's legal counsel fabricated evidence of infidelity.

"So, some time ago, our client Mawar made a social media post describing what she felt and knew about the divorce process with her ex-husband," said Muhammad Zakir Rasyidin, the legal counsel for Mawar AFI who was met after the examination.

"Because there were sentences posted by netizens that made it seem like Mawar was divorced because of infidelity. So Mawar denied it. However, because there was writing related to the legal counsel of her ex-husband, the legal counsel objected and reported it," he continued.

1. Mawar AFI Cooperative

During the approximately two-hour examination, Mawar AFI was cooperative enough to answer 12 questions from the investigators.

"So earlier, Mawar has provided approximately 12 answers. All were answered well and one thing that needs to be emphasized is that Mawar is very cooperative towards the ongoing legal process," said Muhammad Zakir Rasyidin.

2. No Intention to Defame

Muhammad Zakir Rasyidin also explained that everything uploaded by Mawar AFI on her social media is actually what happened and there is no intention to defame or deliberately tarnish the good name of her ex-husband's legal counsel.

"Earlier, everything was clarified that there was no intention or deliberate act to defame or offend anyone's feelings. This is more of a spontaneous expression. She conveyed, expressed what she felt. That's it. If it is said to defame or deliberately, I think there is none. We have shown all the evidence," he explained.

"Everything I said on social media and the statement I made inside is actually what really happened. If it is said that I have evidence, of course, I have evidence," added Mawar AFI.

3. No Regrets

Despite her social media post resulting in a report to the authorities, Mawar AFI stated that she has no regrets. From the beginning, she had no intention of maligning anyone. She only shared what really happened, what she experienced, and what she felt.

"No, I have no regrets. Because I never intended to malign anyone, especially not based on their profession. But the reality is that from the beginning of my divorce process, I truly handed everything over to my ex-husband, including his legal authority," explained Mawar AFI.

"So when I asked if I needed legal representation, my ex-husband prevented me from using it. So from the beginning, I never had any bad thoughts about my ex-husband. I just obeyed because I believed that he, as the father of my children, had no malicious intentions towards me," she concluded.
