Deddy Corbuzier Shocked to Hear Najwa Shihab's Husband Passed Away: He Was Healthy, He Said He Wanted to Climb a Mountain

Kapanlagi.com - Ibrahim Sjarief Assegaf, Najwa Shihab's husband, passed away suddenly due to a burst blood vessel on Tuesday (20/5/2025). His sudden departure shocked the public, including Deddy Corbuzier.

The body is laid to rest at the funeral home in the Jeruk Purut area, South Jakarta. He is scheduled to be buried on Wednesday (21/5) at TPU Jeruk Purut at 10:00 AM WIB.

Deddy Corbuzier came to pay his respects and admitted he was very shocked to hear the news. He even found it hard to speak upon hearing the sad news.

“I was shocked because I couldn't say much,” said Deddy, Tuesday (20/5/2025).

1. The Late Ibrahim Appears Healthy

According to Deddy, the deceased was known as a healthy person. He even had plans to go hiking before passing away.

“That's right, I heard there was a plan to climb a mountain, I don't know if that's true or not,” he said.

However, Deddy also heard news that the deceased had a history of diabetes. This made the news of his passing due to a ruptured blood vessel even more shocking.

“They said he had type one diabetes,” said Deddy.

2. Najwa Shihab is Strong

Before his death, Ibrahim was said by Deddy to still be in good health. In fact, he didn't expect that the deceased had serious health issues.

"He (her husband) was perfectly healthy," Deddy said.

Deddy also had the chance to meet Najwa Shihab directly at the funeral home. He mentioned that Najwa appeared strong, although she couldn't hold back her tears.

"I met her earlier, Mbak Nana spoke to me right away, she was also crying, and I just told her that the important thing is to be strong, let's just pray," he continued.

As a friend and colleague, Deddy could only offer his best prayers. He hopes that the family left behind will be given strength. Ibrahim's departure indeed leaves sorrow for many people, especially because he was known as an active and physically healthy person.
