Kapanlagi.com - In the Vidio Original Series PARADISE GARDEN, Jefri Nichol plays the character of Andra, an investigative journalist in a capital city news portal. Since this is not his first time playing a journalist, Jefri Nichol admitted that he didn't have difficulty in delving into his character.
“We had a week of reading and coincidentally in my previous project, I also played a journalist. So it didn't take too long to delve into the character,” said Jefri Nichol during a virtual press conference some time ago.
However, he also asked a lot of questions to his friend who is a journalist to gain more knowledge.
“To delve into the character, I talked to my friend who studied Journalism. Even though it was just through chat, he gave me a lot of insights,” he said.
Speaking about the character he played, Jefri Nichol admitted that there are several similarities. One of them is Andra's way of thinking, which highly values logic. As for romantic issues, Jefri Nichol feels that he is quite different from Andra.
"Andra's similarity is very logical, I can't say that I am very logical but I highly value logic. I also like Andra's way of thinking and solving cases, it makes sense. The difference might be that he is a bit awkward in romance, haha. I'm not saying that I'm not awkward, but I'm just straight to the point, if I like someone, I say it," he explained.
The PARADISE GARDEN series is an adaptation of the Wattpad novel by Khojina. However, he admitted that he has not read the novel because he wants to focus more on the given script. "I didn't read the Wattpad version, I went straight to the script to stay more focused," he said.
Jefri Nichol also doesn't feel burdened when portraying the character of Andra. He just wants to give his best.
"Actually, it's not a burden because we can't always meet everyone's expectations. So I do what I can do and give my best," concluded Jefri Nichol.
