Kapanlagi.com - Actress Taskya Namya once again showcases her abilities in the horror genre through her latest film titled ISLAND OF GHOSTS. In this film, she plays the character Dara, a girl who struggles against her own ego and the desire to break free from her parents' rules.
At a press conference at XXI Epicentrum, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (10/4/2024), Taskya explained one of her reasons for accepting this role. "From Dara, I learned that as a child, I want to be free, but a mother's prayer can become a disaster if we do not heed it. It's true, right? When we don't follow our mother's advice, it eventually leads to real disaster," Taskya revealed.
Although known as a coward, Taskya Namya admits to having a strong interest in horror films and content. "I am really scared, but I really like horror," she said.
Taskya also shared that her experience in this film offers many new adventures. "There are a lot of really new things here, like there’s an adventure vibe, right?" she explained, showing that this film is more than just scaring people.
The latest version of the film PULAU HANTU is scheduled to be released in Indonesian cinemas on October 10, 2024. This work is directed by MVP Pictures, which has previously been known for producing quality films. In addition to Taskya, this film also stars other names such as Bukie B. Mansyur, Hannah Hannon, Cindy Nirmala, Samo Rafael, and Amanda Green, adding to the film's appeal with a variety of talents.
With a combination of horror and family drama, this film is expected to attract the attention of viewers looking for a story that is not only scary but also emotional.
