Billy Syahputra admitted that he was unaware of Susan Sameh's wedding plans until the news broke out to the public.
"I don't know, I don't know. Suddenly he got married and I just found out," said Billy when met in the Taman Sari area, West Jakarta, on Sunday (28/7).
When asked if he would attend his ex-girlfriend's wedding if invited, Billy stated, "But it just so happens that he is getting married at the same time as my event. I hope I always pray for the best. For anyone who gets married, may they have a smooth journey."
Although not invited, Billy still offered prayers and congratulations to the newlywed couple. Billy Syahputra hopes their marriage will last until death do them part.
"Of course, I will congratulate them. I hope they become a family that is sakinah mawaddah warahmah. InsyaAllah blessed, and marriage is not just any marriage for everyone," he hopes.
Billy also emphasized that marriage is an act of worship and not just a ceremonial event. Therefore, anyone who decides to get married must have thought it through thoroughly.
When asked about the possibility of marrying in the future, Billy expressed that he wants to ensure he is truly ready. For him, each individual has their own fears and readiness regarding marriage.
"There are many things we fear that we shouldn't be afraid of. But my principle is that I want to marry when I am ready. If you are marrying just for any reason, don't get married. If it's for worship and you are mentally prepared, then just go ahead and marry," he concluded.
