Aaliyah's mother, Reza Artamevia, expressed her happiness over her daughter's marriage. According to Reza, Thariq is a humble and hardworking individual.
"Alhamdulillah from the moment we met, we were close right away. He is very humble and down to earth. He shared his life story. I was immediately happy, I liked it," said Reza at Raffles Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday (26/7/2024).
This 49-year-old diva also added that her son-in-law is a determined person who starts everything from scratch.
"He is a determined person, hard-working. He does everything from scratch. I think I wholeheartedly accept my child with him, his faith is also good," said Reza.
The moment of the traditional blessing after the marriage ceremony was very emotional for Reza. He entrusted a message to Thariq to always take care of Aaliyah, who is now his wife.
Earlier during the traditional ceremony, I said that now mother has a son. Now the responsibility has shifted from mother to Thariq," said Reza with teary eyes.
He also expressed gratitude to all parties who have supported Aaliyah since she was little until now becoming Thariq's wife.
