Tessa Mariska is once again being targeted by netizens due to her actions on social media. It is known that Tessa was criticized by netizens for allegedly making light of the death of Dali Wassink, husband of Jennifer Coppen, through a TikTok video trend called 'mundur wir'.

In relation to this matter, when met in the Kemang area, South Jakarta, on (25/7) Thursday afternoon, Tessa Mariska finally provided an explanation. She admitted that she actually expressed her condolences.

Regarding the video that netizens are upset about, she admitted that she only wanted to inform netizens that Mundur Wir is a signature slogan of her group, The Netizen. She also stated that Mundur Wir for the late Dali was not a dance video with loud music.

"We express our condolences, we didn't expect that Papa Dali would pass away, that's why we made a video, we want to inform the netizens, because to show our characteristics, that's our group's slogan," Tessa Mariska stated.

Tessa Mariska also admitted to being sad about the netizens' response to the video she uploaded. Moreover, she stated that she had no intention or desire to mock the sad news about Dali Wassink.

"I am actually sad, we even think why are we being called this (mocking), but if we are criticized, we can already be criticized. It's not something new for us, it's common," she said.

"Look, we have no intention whatsoever, we just recited Al-Fatihah, we are not cursing him. There is no intention at all," he continued.

Tessa Mariska also reiterated that there is no intention or opportunism in using the moment of Dali Wassink's death to gain fame alone.

"There is also no benefit for us to dance on people's sorrow because everyone will eventually experience death, right?" he remarked.
