Difficult to Get an Ambulance, Here's Andien's Story of Escorting Her Brother-in-Law's Body Using Her Own Vehicle

Kapanlagi.com - Grief is now enveloping the family of singer Andien. Andien announced that her sister-in-law had just passed away due to losing the battle against Covid-19 while undergoing self-isolation.

Through her personal Instagram account, Andien shared this heartbreaking story by uploading a photo of herself at the Covid-19 funeral wearing complete personal protective equipment (PPE) and carrying a tombstone with the name of her late sister-in-law.

"My sister-in-law is one of the many people who lost the fight during self-isolation. Like many other stories circulating in WhatsApp groups and social media," Andien wrote on her Instagram, Tuesday (12/7/2021).

Not only that, Andien also shared how she had to wait in line to get an ambulance to transport her sister-in-law's body to the Covid-19 funeral.

"My sister-in-law is one of the many people who lost the fight during self-isolation. Like many other stories circulating in WhatsApp groups and social media," Andien said.

Since it was difficult to get an ambulance, Andien and her family decided to transport her sister-in-law's body using their own vehicle with the help of their friends.

"Even so, we felt fortunate because we have a vehicle. We have friends we can rely on. Although fate cannot be bargained," she continued.

2. Can't Imagine

In the midst of her loss, Andien is also concerned about another matter. With this panic, she can't imagine how other people don't have access as easily as she does. 

"During our panic in taking care of the late. during self-isolation and even after passing away, we always think about other community members who don't have access as easily as we do. Access to nutritious food, access to necessary supplements and medicine, access to ambulances, and even access to funerals," she said.
