Divorce Lawsuit Filed by Sarwendah, Ruben Onsu Does Not Demand Custody Rights and Assets

Kapanlagi.com - South Jakarta District Court confirms that artist Ruben Onsu has filed for divorce from his wife, Sarwendah. The lawsuit was filed by Ruben Onsu on June 11, 2024, through his legal representative, Minola Sebayang, with case number 551/Pdt.G/2024/PN JKT.SEL.

"Yes, according to our SIPP system, there is a lawsuit filed by the plaintiff named RSO (Ruben Samuel Onsu) against S (Sarwendah Tan) regarding the divorce lawsuit registered on June 9, 2024," said Tumpanuli Marbun, the spokesperson of the South Jakarta District Court, in his office on Wednesday (12/6/2024).

"The plaintiff RSO filed it through his representative," he added.

1. Already Set the Trial Schedule

The South Jakarta District Court has also set the trial schedule for the first divorce hearing of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah. Tumpanuli Marbun stated that the first hearing for Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah will be held on July 9, 2024.

"The trial is scheduled for July 2024. The judge has been appointed," he said.

2. Reasons for Divorce Not Specified

Tumpanuli Marbun did not explain in detail the reasons why Ruben Onsu filed for divorce from Sarwendah. He requested patience if anyone wants to know

"The reasons for the divorce will definitely be stated in the lawsuit, but this divorce case is within our private scope, so we cannot inform the public because the trial is also closed. The motives for the divorce itself can only be known during the reading of the verdict because it is starting to be revealed," he said.

3. Not Claiming Custody and Joint Property

Tumpanuli Marbun conveyed that Ruben Onsu only filed for divorce. There is no custody of the child or joint property.

"Yes, divorce. As for custody of the child, no. (Joint property) none, only divorce," he concluded.

4. A Glimpse of Ruben and Sarwendah's Marriage

Ruben Onsu married Sarwendah in 2013. During their 11 years of marriage, they were blessed with two biological children, Thalia Putri Onsu and Thania Putri Onsu, and they adopted a child named Betrand Peto Putra Onsu.

During their 11 years together, Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah's marriage seemed harmonious, with hardly any problems that became public. However, in the past year, Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah's marriage has been rumored to be on the rocks. They are also rumored to have separated.
