Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta District Court (PN) has ruled on the divorce case of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah Tan. This decision was made by default, meaning it was taken without the presence of the plaintiff, Ruben Onsu.
The process was uploaded through the Case Information Tracking System Application (SIPP), which is an e-court platform for online hearings.
The spokesperson for the South Jakarta District Court, Tapanuli Marbun, stated that the divorce lawsuit of Ruben Onsu against Sarwendah has been decided after several court hearings.
"So after several court hearings, the divorce lawsuit filed by Mr. Ruben Onsu against his wife today, the panel of judges in South Jakarta has decided the case by default in the sense that the plaintiff was not present," said Tapanuli Marbun at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (24/9/2024).
In the lawsuit, Ruben Onsu did not include demands regarding child custody or the division of joint property. This led the panel of judges to only grant the divorce petition filed by Ruben.
"The decision of the Court is that the Court grants the petition in its entirety, which states that the marriage of the petitioner and the respondent is dissolved due to divorce," he said.
Tapanuli also emphasized that there were no requests related to child custody or property division, so both aspects were not considered in the ruling.
"Because from the beginning, both regarding joint property and child custody were never requested by the petitioner, so the panel of judges did not consider those matters," he concluded.
Ruben Onsu is known to have filed for divorce from Sarwendah through his legal representative, Minola Sebayang, since June 9, 2024. The lawsuit is registered under case number 551/Pdt.G/2024/PN JKT.SEL.
