Dozens of Accounts Have Deleted Defamation Against Rossa, Still Demanding an Apology

The effects of the letter of demand sent by Rossa are starting to show. As of now, there are already 38 social media accounts that have been scared and have immediately deleted (taken down) defamatory content regarding the Indonesian Diva.

However, simply deleting the content is not enough for Rossa's side. The legal team emphasizes that the account owners still have an obligation to publicly apologize on their respective social media.

"So far, from those who have taken down, we see that there are already 38 accounts that have taken down, but we have saved everything. Actually, there are already those who have taken down due to the letter of demand," said Ikhsan Tualeka when met in the Darmawangsa area, South Jakarta, Monday (13/4/2026)."But we, because there are two contexts in the letter of demand, are not just about taking down but also a request for an apology," he added.

Rossa's management has saved all evidence of the posts before those accounts deleted them. This is done to ensure that the digital footprint of the perpetrators remains if legal proceedings are continued with the police.

This firm step aims to educate the public not to carelessly upload information without verification. Deleting content after spreading slander is considered not the right way to resolve legal issues.

"Apologizing because their names, even though they have taken it down, we have already screenshot everything. The evidence is already in our hands. So we want to teach the public that they should not casually create news that cannot be accounted for, and then immediately take it down like that," explained Natalia Rusli.

The time given by Rossa's party is also considered very short, namely only 1x24 hours since the summons was announced. If within that time frame there is no apology, the legal team will immediately move to the National Police Headquarters or the Metro Jaya Regional Police.

This case serves as a stern warning to the "naughty thumbs" who often seek profit by tarnishing the reputation of others. The big name and career struggle of Rossa over the decades will not be allowed to be destroyed just like that by digital slander.

"And suddenly, without thinking, we use our thumbs to press and say, oh this is like this, oh this is like that, and then just take it down like that, it can't be done. Like that. So if anyone cannot cooperate well and accept feedback and our summons, then we will proceed with legal action," concluded Natalia.
