Expressing disappointment regarding the unpleasant experience of working with Aldy Maldini, Dr. Richard Lee believes that extending the legal issue is not worth the value of the loss. He chooses to let it go because he does not want to deal with legal matters just for an amount of Rp10 million. Here is his confession.
"This kind of debate isn't important, it's unclear, well if it were Rp1 billion, I'd lower my lawyer. But it's only Rp10 million, how much does it cost to pay a lawyer? So, let it flow," he said.
However, more than just the issue of money, what disappointed him the most was the professional embarrassment. He felt that his clinic's reputation was at stake due to Aldy's absence.
"It's embarrassing, more precisely embarrassing, because we as a brand invited him, featured him on the flyer, and promised patients that they could take photos with him, but it turns out he didn't come, it's more about being embarrassed," he said.
"Last night there was someone from his team. I have a contact, coincidentally someone knows. There was a contact, asking. What does Dr. Richard want? I said I don't have any desires. I said I wouldn't hold it back; I have no problem. As far as I know, it's been six years, I said. My goal is more to remind friends. So that a similar incident doesn't happen again. That's all," he explained.
Richard stated that recently there was a team from Aldy who tried to contact him. He calmly replied that he had not filed any claims.
If Aldy really wants to apologize and take responsibility, Richard is open to mediation. He is even willing to facilitate it if done openly.
"Yes, I am ready to mediate. If it’s good with the other fans. With the other victims. Come on, we can gather at my place. I am ready to mediate, I also have no feelings towards the person. If someone wants to improve themselves. Then I'm okay with it," he concluded. /far
