Drug Case File Has Been Handed Over, Ammar Zoni is Now in Cipinang Penitentiary and Awaiting Trial

Kapanlagi.com - South Jakarta Metro Police have already handed over the drug case involving Ammar Zoni to the South Jakarta State Prosecutor's Office. This was directly conveyed by the Head of Narcotics Unit of South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Achmad Ardhy.

In his message to journalists on Monday (21/8/2023), Achmad Ardhy stated that the handover of the case file had been done since August 1st.

"It's been a long time. On August 1st, 2023, the handover to the State Prosecutor's Office was done," said Ardhy.

1. Rehabilitation is Already Completed

Currently, Ammar has completed his rehabilitation period. While waiting for the trial schedule, Irish Bella's husband is currently in Cipinang Correctional Institution (LP), East Jakarta.

"Currently, he is in Cipinang prison waiting for the trial," he said.

As previously known, Ammar Zoni was arrested by the South Jakarta Police Narcotics Detective Unit for the possession of methamphetamine in the Sentul area, Bogor, West Java on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.

2. Facing 12 Years of Imprisonment

The police have conducted urine tests on all three of them. The results showed that they tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.

In their case, Ammar Zoni and two other suspects are charged under Article 112 paragraph 1, subsidiary Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Based on Article 112, Ammar could face a minimum of four years and a maximum of twelve years imprisonment, as well as a minimum fine of Rp 800 million and a maximum fine of Rp 8 billion.
