Jessica Iskandar is wrapping her heart with an extraordinary sense of pride over the achievement of her eldest son, El Barack Alexander. The graduation moment of El Barack's Elementary School was emotional, attended by a large family at the Sampoerna building.
"Oh my, afraid of being arrogant, but the grades are really good, so all of them are A. And there are also stars," said Jessica Iskandar when met in the Kapten Tendean area, Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (26/5/2026).
Jedar feels very grateful because El has a high awareness to study independently every day, she said. She praises El's great responsibility towards school assignments even without the help of a private tutor. "He doesn't need to be taught, doesn't need guidance to study, doesn't participate in any tutoring, but his grades can be really good like that," she said.
This beautiful actress mentioned that her son has excellent academic abilities without needing her to guide him strictly. El Barack has proven that he can compete healthily at his school, which has high educational standards.
"Yes, self-taught without lessons, just school. When studying, we usually limit it, especially since kids are now playing with gadgets," she said.
Jedar continues to pay attention to the balance between her child's study time and playtime amidst a busy school schedule. She does not want her child to get too absorbed in using his electronic devices excessively.
"We usually limit gadget use to just Saturday and Sunday. Well, now it has become Friday, Saturday, Sunday. One hour on Friday, one hour on Saturday, two hours on Sunday, like that," she explained.
Jessica and her husband, Vincent Verhaag, feel very lucky to have a child with a mature mindset like El Barack. They always provide full support for El's educational journey towards a higher level.
"Vincent and I are very lucky as parents because having a child like El Barack who can be responsible," she concluded.
