"Yes, we never know what happened there, right, if we didn't hear Mr. Darma's testimony," said Tamara Tyasmara after the trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Monday (5/8/2024).

Tamara explained that all this time she had only received information from CCTV recordings and testimonies from others. Hearing the direct testimony from witnesses who were at the scene provided a certain relief for Tamara.

"Because previously it was from the CCTV, then the testimonies from people. Hearing it directly earlier was relieving," she said.

According to Tamara, even though the witness did not see the entire CCTV recording, their presence at the scene was very helpful in providing a clearer picture of the tragic event that befell Dante.  

"Mr. Darma didn’t see the full thing but was there. As for me, I wasn’t there, so it became clearer with Mr. Darma's explanation," said Tamara.

In his testimony, Darma revealed that the defendant had called someone during the incident. Tamara also admitted that she was indeed contacted by Yudha, the defendant in this case, who informed her about Dante's condition.

"He called me to inform, that was what he testified yesterday, that Dante drowned and then he was calling me. But I don’t know because Mr. Darma said he was going back and forth. We don’t know when the call to me was," she said.

Tamara also questioned the attitude of the defendant's family, who seemed unwilling to listen to the witness's testimony carefully. She had to reprimand Yudha's family members who left the courtroom one by one during the testimony.

"What I mean is that today is an important moment for me, today is the testimony from the people who were at the scene, why this turn, it’s very important, where is the family. They even come out one by one, why? They don’t want to hear the testimony," concluded Tamara Tyasmara.
