Senior actor Epy Kusnandar, whose performances we always remember on screen, has passed away. The departure of this humorous figure certainly shocked many, especially the family and close relatives left behind.
Epy was declared dead at 14:24 WIB at the National Brain Center Hospital (PON), Cawang, East Jakarta, Wednesday (3/12/2025). The process of transferring the body from the hospital to the funeral home took place that afternoon.

Based on observations at the location, the body of Epy Kusnandar was taken out of the mortuary installation to be placed in the ambulance around 5:00 PM WIB.
There was an emotional moment captured on camera during the preparation for the departure of the body. Epy's wife, Karina Ranau, was seen accompanied by security personnel walking towards the hearse with heavy steps.
Before her husband's coffin was placed in, Karina was seen getting in first to the back of the ambulance to accompany her husband. She sat on the side where the coffin would be placed at RS PON, Cawang, East Jakarta.
Karina's tears were uncontrollable while waiting for her husband's body to be loaded. In the midst of the mourning atmosphere, she managed to say a farewell sentence to the person she loved very much. "I love you, Papi," said Karina.
Before this moment in the hospital, Karina had already shared the sad news through her social media account. She uploaded a mourning poster containing prayers for her late husband on Instagram.
The atmosphere became even sadder as the green coffin was slowly pushed into the ambulance. Moments after the coffin was near, Karina immediately embraced it tightly. "Oh God, Gusti," she said.
"Allahumma firlahu warhamhu wa afihi wa fuanhu.” The post contains a prayer asking for forgiveness and God's mercy for the deceased. This prayer holds a very deep meaning for the family left behind.
"Oh God, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him peace, and forgive his mistakes," expressed Karina in her post. Currently, the body of Epy Kusnandar is being laid to rest at the Harmony Residence 88 funeral home, Jalan Pasir, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The family plans to hold the funeral procession tomorrow at 08:00 WIB at TPU Jeruk Purut, South Jakarta, Thursday (4/12/2025).
